Sudanese In Turkey... Efforts To Rebuild The Country

In speech to (Sudanow) Professor in Institute of High specialty education in Turkish Presidency of Religious Affairs and expert in Turkish religious Academy, Dr. Mohammad Ahamad Dwyna said” Sudanese -Turkish relations is deep – rooted and renewed . All of Sudanese nation should collaborate and participate in rehabilitating what happened in our country of destructions, ruin of infrastructures and economic devastation. I live in Turkey since 2012 , the Sudanese community here have a high patriotic spirit and they are very exited and great wellness to support in the battel of Sudan reconstruction. They decided this decision particularly after a lot youth are leaving to share actually in battels against terrorist militate of rapid Support Forces in groups of popular resistance beside the army to fight and defend their homeland . They gathered to defense on Sudan via word instead of gun, which they couldn't do it, because issue of homeland is“common concern” As our country is in need to reconstructions in all fields and to reform the human soul, so that the Sudanese person can return to being a generous person, living together in a tolerant society in which all types of ethnic diversity are united. We should be update to all modern technology in all fields and we determined to turn“ war's ordeal to reward“, we aim to rehabilitee person , land and buildings. so (principals should be before the buildings).“We target to hold number of specialized workshops under title of ( battel of rehabilitation Sudan) in various topics include media and health, Prof , Dwyna said and explained in field of education we will search on methods of improving education in all fields and researchers as well as to utilize from the Students in the Turkish universities to open more paths and connect via universities and find opportunities of studying and training and to use this researches in period of rebuilding and developing our country . The main issue in life is the economy, and we need to open production lines between Sudan and Turkey by exploiting Sudanese natural resources, Turkish expertise, and the capabilities of each. "It is a mutually beneficial relationship." We are not thinking about what we will take from Turkey, nor about extending a helping hand for gifts and charity. Rather, economic exchange must be based on our natural capabilities, Sudanese wealth, and expertise, as we have stated and continue” We must benefit from our natural resources, including fertile lands, abundant water sources, and minerals. İf all Sudanese follow these Curriculum will be relation of intellectual and economic production, through it we can revive Sudan again. The availability of wealth and increase of human and natural capabilities enhance the state's status and strengthen its position in creating smart partnerships, especially in the field of economy”. Prof Dawyna concluded“ we will hold more workshops to collect enough data and prepare a comprehensive file to use in period of rehabilitating. The Sudanese Ambassador to Ankara, Nader Yousef Al-Tayeb, and the embassy staff have undertaken to supervise the implementation of the initiative, in which Sudanese professionals from various Turkish universities and scientific research institutions are participating, along with a number of technicians and experts in the fields of energy and mining, as well as businessmen, with ideas that can be transformed into work programs that can be implemented and benefit all parties in both countries”.
“Sudan and Turkey witnessed dramatic movements and geopolitical shakes on economic, security, military, and political levels and fluctuations in views of those in charge of bilateral relations have been among the most important determinants of the development of Sudanese-Turkish relations, beside changes happened in the middle east in general and in particular region of African Horn of geopolitical and economic changes began to create and will enhance in developing relations between Sudan and Turkey in context of efforts to benefit from special advantages of both countries via economic and in vestmental partnerships” mentioned ,researcher in political relations, Dr. Ibrahim Naseer in his paper titled”“Sudanese -Turkish relations from perspective of new economic partnerships” and continue“Sudan owns huge natural various sources , big human wealth and strong will to rebuild the country through alliances with active regional states like Turkey. In contrast, there is a Turkish surge towards African continent, which requires geo-economic platforms such as Sudan to enter African market, which is considered a gateway to the depth of the African continent”.
In his speech to (Sudanow) Dr. Naseer told that the paper pointed to necessity of trade , manufacturing and Investment in relations of the two countries and concentrates on utilizing the Sudanese existence in Turkey in different economic fields and create with their counter partners specific projects in arenas of constructions. In addition to practical suggestions for increasing Sudanese exports to Turkey, Benefits from Turkey's experience in localizing manufacturing industries to add value to Sudan's exports to Turkey and from there to European markets, and presenting practical proposals for opening African markets to Turkish exports via” COMESA”. The paper asserted to provide specific Projects initiatives such as agricultural manufacturing via Sudanese- Turkish partnerships, to focus on successful Sudanese experiences , which create actual partnerships projects and to Benefit from Sudanese graduates of Turkish universities in all fields by employing Turkish companies interested in investing and trading with Sudan”.


But some challenges hinders to develop this relation as International sanctions imposed on Sudan, security tasks , challenges of infra structures, weak of technical cadres, lack of stimulating investment laws and regulations and financial obstacles , but then all these obstacles could bypass via adopting carefully industrial and commercial plans that open new horizons to relations between the two countries. There are successful models to Turkish companies achieved vital role in our economy, also another Sudanese investment partnerships able to enter Turkish market and utilize from Incentives for foreign investment in Turkey in addition use advantage of the large Turkish market and target neighboring markets (such as the European Union, the Gulf, and Central Asia). The expert in African affaires , Dr. Naseer went on saying” In return, we can focus on Sudan's great Geo-economic location in the African continent and remark that all markets of Chad, Ethiopia, Eritrea and state of South Sudan dependency on Sudanese's basic commodities so we can add benefits that two countries will get can be summarized as follows: transfer of industrial and commercial experiences, openness to neighboring markets, overcoming geographical obstacles, and geo-economic cooperation.
Besides , Dr Ibrahim reported in his paper the official efforts occurred in this regard include signature agreement special agreement to facilitate banking transactions, which had a positive impact on joint cooperation in commercial investments. This resulted that“ Turkish Ziraat Bank“opened one of its foreign branches in Khartoum, to enhance economic cooperation between the two countries and encouraging and attracting investors. Beside agreement of agricultural partnership allows facilities in agricultural investment to Turkish side , exchange programs of building capacities in this field in addition ,There are significant Turkish investments in the energy and mining sectors. There are also several bilateral committees formed between the Ministries of Trade, Finance, Industry, Agriculture and Forestry, and Labor, headed by the Undersecretaries of the Ministries. These committees aim to facilitate work and remove obstacles to achieve the targeted results and maximize the benefits for both parties. As, another committee joined central banks in two countries As recently Turkish-Sudanese Investment and Trade Forum was held in Istanbul to discuss Sudan's opportunities and capabilities to encourage and support investors, the important advantages they offer, and investment opportunities and sectors in the country.
On importance of“ manufacturing industries” Dr. Ibrahim said” this will realize industrial development, increase exports and the national Income. Turkey achieved remarkable success in this field and in Sudan there are opportunities of manufacturing industries via Sudanese - Turkish partnerships represents in localizing and developing the industrial sectors, Encouraging entrepreneurs and state sponsorship to emerging projects. The available chances in this field include plant products, while Sudan consider one of the largest countries of producing agricultural crops such as sesame, peanuts, and gum Arabic. In contrast, Turkey is one of the largest countries consuming vegetable oils and gum- arabic. Sudan topped list of gum -arabic production in world . Thus, via communicating with factories of cosmetic products that depend on gum -arabic in Turkey that can be opened new horizons for its source in Sudan. Seconds , the natural resources and important are Gold and copper , as recently Turkey focusses in last years via governmental and sub- governmental companies on Gold trading in Africa. Thirds, Turkey is pioneered state in leather industry and Globally, topped the fourth rank in leather production sector after Italy, China and India, the Turkish leather industry depend mainly on the processing of both sheep and goat hides. Turkish leather industry is distinguished from other for the high quality of the raw materials and its production processes as well.
Concerning on benefits of sharing Turkey in process of construction Sudan, Dr. Nasser confirmed to“Sudanow” it is a chance to Diversifying partnerships , accruing high quality according to Europe standards and competitive prices , to obtain political positions that support Sudan's foreign and domestic issues and provide job opportunities for Turkish university graduates in Sudan.
As well as on future of relations between the two countries, Dr. Ibrahim said to“ I believe that the economic crisis that Sudan is suffering from, which has been worsened by the war, represents an entry point for countries like Turkey to increase their investments in this country by offering attractive encouragements. As analysts and experts asserted that Ankara aim to strength its regional and international investment to support its economy via economic investment and charity activities as basic entry to breakthrough countries , specially those countries that suffer crises but in spite of war there are big chances to investment and trade.
Dr. Nasser noted that” actually there are many Turkish companies in Sudan , as well as the government will exert efforts to facilitate measures of attract investment companies in coming period” and Despite war, Khartoum offers significant tax incentives, free zones, and other benefits to investors, particularly given Sudan's strategic location on the African continent and its proximity to the Red Sea , as a gateway to Central Asia. Particular, sea voyage from Mersin in southern Turkey to Port Sudan is only three days , as there are trade agreements between two countries in Marine fields.

There for, we affirm the following practical recommendation , to establish direct contact between Cosmetics companies with gum- arabic producers, to open recruitment and investment consulting offices to employ graduates from Turkey and Sudan, allocating floors for Sudanese products in Turkish ports (Mersin Port), and transferring the Turkish manufacturing industry experience to Sudan via holding annual workshops between businessmen in both countries , adopting legislations and laws to facilitate investment to achieve high quality according to Europe standards and to gain Supportive political positions to Sudan's issues on regional and international arenas., develop Sudanese- Turkish relation and to open new prospects of economic and invest relations , that may be the most important pillar on which future relations will stand. There for, we affirm the following practical recommendation , to establish direct contact between Cosmetics with gum arabic products, to open recruitment and investment consulting offices to employ graduates from Turkey and Sudan, allocating floors for Sudanese products in Turkish ports (Mersin Port), and transferring the Turkish manufacturing industry experience to Sudan via holding annual workshops between businessmen in both countries , adopting legislations and laws to facilitate investment to achieve high quality according to Europe standards and to gain Supportive political positions to Sudan's issues on regional and international arenas (Politicization of investments).
